I am focused on making clients’ paths to the sale and the transaction itself a very positive experience. I communicate day-to-day with clients every step of the way and support them in all areas – legal reviews, financial analysis, marketing materials, etc. I make sure it all runs on rails and the whole process is as stress-free as possible.

I have always worked in creativity-focused businesses. Technology, media and telecommunications companies are my specialties. The passion our clients have for their business, their ambitions and their drive deserve the best support. Every business and every transaction is very different. Analysing the needs and specifics of each client, understanding what will work better in a particular case and every individual scenario is my priority.

I see my job as helping Waypoint’s clients plan and navigate a course through one of the trickiest challenges, they’ll ever take on… how to sell their company.

This means helping highly successful & experienced people do something that’s simultaneously hugely important and completely new to them. I need to be both the industry expert who understands their business and the rock-solid M&A expert who can solve their problems and get the deal they want. It’s a demanding but exciting job which I love.     

I’ve now spent about 20 years advising businesses in the pharma world. I’ve been lucky to work with a huge variety of firms, all of whom provide vital services to their pharma clients: from data and technology to communications and consulting.  I’ve advised on over £2bn of total transactions for clients across Europe and the US.  

Before joining Waypoint, I worked at Alantra and Rothschild, and way before that I studied Finance at University College Cork, where I’m from.

Where there is a will there is a way. The team and clients trust me to find a solution. Whether in the office or out-of-office I want to make sure everything goes smoothly and Waypoint people have as much time with our clients as possible. I move things forward by problem-solving, organising and getting things done – always finding a way in, a way out or a way through.

I thrive on ‘mission impossible’ challenges. You need to find a 25th hour in the partners’ calendar? Or to organise an out-of-the-ordinary event somewhere between Bath and Barcelona? Or to connect you with exactly the right person at the right time? Anything is possible, but it takes a well organised, creative mind to find the solution, to make it work…and that’s where I come in.

Having worked for the high-end women’s fashion retailer Hobbs and at an international fashion recruitment consultancy, I love all things creative and inventive.

Selling your business is often a once in a lifetime event. It’s a demanding, intimate process and will almost certainly be an emotional rollercoaster.

My job is to ease the burden and simplify the process. I take care of the heavy lifting, navigating complexities to make sure we’re prepared for what’s around the corner.

I moved into M&A because I wanted to work directly with ambitious businesses and play a role in shaping outcomes that genuinely move the needle for owners and management teams.

Before joining Waypoint, I supported mid-market M&A transactions in Saffery’s Corporate Finance team, where I also qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

Knowledge is vital in our business. I am charged with making AI serve our team. Machine-based intelligence allows us to accumulate and use vast amounts of knowledge. New automated tools and processes and quick access to necessary information make behind-the-scenes work more efficient. AI liberates the team to spend more time face-to-face with clients working on solutions and moving their businesses forward.

Client time is the most important and valuable part of our business. Knowledge plays a great part in building productive business relationships and human-to-human interaction. Working with humans is also the most exciting part of business in the creative industries, so full of amazing, talented people. I love working with our clients too, and I use every opportunity to support them in many ways.

I wear two hats: in charge of our thought leadership but also right at the coalface, a strong operator managing client relationships on transactions. Working with owners means you have to be well-informed, technically minded and also interested in people.

We work in a very emotional field where people have created their own businesses. They are visionary, big-picture thinkers with tonnes of energy – with big personalities and different agendas. They want an ally who can match their pace but be unflappable. I help them steer towards consensus, keep perspective and am the first they turn to as a voice of calm.

Prior to joining Waypoint, I was at Grant Thornton where I advised on mid-market transactions throughout the UK and gained experience of cross-border trades and private equity deals across a wide variety of sectors, including technology and consumer.

I’m the engine room – the main driver of projects day to day, managing the team’s collective effort and working alongside all the stakeholders. The creative world is very dynamic – fast-moving and full of characters – where every day is very different. I love the challenge of dealing with these everyday twists and turns our clients face on their journey. 

My background in the TMT (technology, media, telecommunications) industry and years of experience in KPMG have given me a good understanding of how creative businesses operate and make money. I have 6+ years M&A experience advising company founders and management teams on a combination of acquisitions, disposals and MBOs.

Prior to joining Waypoint, I advised on lower mid-market transactions and qualified as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG in Birmingham. 

Everyone who has ever started and built a business has a lot to say. So my first priority is to listen and understand their motivations and the nuances of the business’s performance. Every company is not just a unique journey but also an incredibly individual experience. An M&A deal is the culmination of their success. I help entrepreneurs and business leaders get over their win line and succeed.

As a competitive rower, I understand that making the boat go faster is a collective endeavour and that the leadership sets the pace and tone. I help them to see the opportunity and execute the necessary change. In my role as Partner, I keep us on course, too.

This is an amazing industry in which to be influential. As advertising, film, technology, software, gaming and marcomms speed up, personalise and merge, the opportunities are greater than ever before. Helping leaders unlock that potential is what excites me.

I’ve completed 28 deals worth more than $1 billion in international M&A. Highlights include the sale of Born Social to Croud, Nomensa to Sideshow Group and Waste Creative to Keywords Studios. Before Waypoint I was at ACF Investment Bank, where I worked on high-profile deals in the TV production space in both the UK and US.

My clients call me their Trusted Advisor. I work with CEOs, shareholders and management teams to help grow their business. I am agnostic as to what the solution is to the problem. I listen, imagine, create ideas and execute them together with you.

I have been an investor, coach, consultant and CFO in the creative space for the last 20 years. I have always believed in, and am passionate about, the creative industry and related technologies. Working with such bright people demands listening skills, imagination and the ability to create ideas and business strategies in less obvious spaces.

Having worked with over 200 agencies across the UK, Europe U.S. and Asia I know what drives value. The joy is helping ambitious leaders go further than they think they can go.

I know the thrill of the ride having been CFO of Iris Worldwide – the fastest growing independent agency in the world at the time. I am a qualified accountant formerly with Grant Thornton Corporate Finance.

My mission is growth. I know how to plan it and what to do to achieve it. I have built, rebuilt, grown, merged and sold companies working on both the agency side and as a client. I bring the perspective of a provider, seller and buyer of a wide range of creative, tech and digital services.  So I feel your challenges and understand your limiting factors and work with them so that you win.

I am a sales and business development zealot. Having worked across a wide range of B2B industries for over 30 years, I know the vital importance of profitable topline growth – the engine of any enterprise. I identify your growth challenges very fast and develop a process to accelerate performance. You will see the results in real numbers very quickly. 

I gained CEO experience with an AIM listed digital pure play and am an alumnus of The Windsor Leadership Trust (CEO Programme). I’ve worked at both listed and private companies such as ICL, PTC, Energis, Cable & Wireless, bigmouth media, Digitas / LBi, Cupid plc and First Utility. 

I am the people person. Business is the most human activity. It simply does not exist without people. It is their vision, ambitions and dreams that drive everything forward. In creative and tech industries it is even more so – everything is about people and their talents. I love business cultures where legal and finance serve people and not the other way round.

When Waypoint works for clients they work as one team. Ask any of us, and you will hear first of all how much people focus on building strong relationships with our clients. But you can only be client oriented, appreciate the personal touch, value every individual and sincerely care for every client if you experience all of these things in your own company.

I am also a Professor of Leadership and Management at Hult Ashridge Executive Education. I received a Damehood (not from an UK honors system) in April 2025 for my values, contribution and drive to make this world a better place.
